THE ITALIAN CULTURAL OF WESTERN MASS IS SPONSORING A
BUS TRIP TO THE ISABELLA STEWART GARDNER IN BOSTON
Join the Italian Cultural Center of Western Mass, Inc. for a trip to explore the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in the Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood of Boston on Saturday, March 24th. We will be provided with a private, guided tour of the museum. We will stop at Eataly Boston first to enjoy lunch (on your own) and stock up on some Italian delicacies to take home, then the bus will take us to the museum for the rest of the afternoon.
The museum houses an art collection of world importance, including significant examples of < a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_art">European< /a>, < a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_art">Asian< /a>, and < a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_art_of_the_United_States">American art< /a>, from paintings and sculpture to tapestries and decorative arts. It is housed in a building designed to emulate a 15th-century Venetian palace, drawing inspiration from the Venetian < a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palazzo_Barbaro">Palazzo Barbaro< /a>.
The King Ward bus will leave the Eastfield Mall commuter parking lot (next to Sears) at 9:30 am. We should arrive at Eataly Boston around 11:00 am. We will spend 2.5 hours in Eataly for lunching and shopping, then we will board the bus and head over to the Museum. We will spend 3 hours at the Museum on our private, guided tour and then return to the Eastfield Mall around 6:30 pm.
The cost of the trip including admission to the museum, the guided tour and the stop at Eataly is $65.00 per Adult and $62.00 for Seniors (65+).
