21st Annual Great Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show

Featuring the < a href="https://jurassicroadshow.com/">Jurassic Roadshow< /a>! Vendors display specimens from around the world in all price ranges. See rocks and minerals, gemstones and fossils, jewelry and fine art! Featured speakers, demonstrations, activities for kids, and videos, posters and books for sale.

Featuring free meteorites for kids, jewelry and beads. Dealers will have amazing specimens from around the world, plus a large selection of Connecticut River Valley concretions for sale this year from a long-time collector. You can bring your unknown samples for experts to ID, and teachers can find classroom kits and other teaching aids.

Special presentations include:

  • 11:00 – 11:45am Journal of a Mineral Tour to Brazil – Eric Greene presents his experiences collecting crystals in Brazil, including an 800 meter descent into an emerald mine.
  • 1:00 – 1:45pm Law and Order “Meteorites” – Peter Scherff brings his wealth of meteorite experiences to GCC with the action packed presentation.
  • 3:00 – 3:30pm Guided Tour of the new GCC Geo Path – Richard Little explains the origin and significance of these monumental specimens highlighting regional geology. Meet in front of the Sloan Theater, south end of the Main Building.

All talks are in the < a href="http://www.gcc.mass.edu/locations/stinchfield-lecture-hall/">Stinchfield Lecture Hall< /a>, all show dealers will be in the Cohn Family Dining Commons. Free admission to all events!
