On Passover the focus of the seder revolves around matza, the unleavened bread that is baked in under eighteen minutes. Join Chabad Hebrew School and Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy (LYA) as we bake matza in preparation for Passover.

Participants will learn about the process of how matza is created. Each participant will walk away with a fresh matza that they made. The Model Matza Bakery will take place on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at 1148 Converse Street, Longmeadow, MA. This event is open to children aged 5-12. Cost is $5 a child.

The children will participate in the entire process from the wheat grinding until the baking. During the Model Matza Bakery children will use water and flour booths and a millstone for grinding the wheat.

Major funding for the Model Matza Bakery is provided by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. RSVP is a must. Please email < a href="mailto:info@lya.org">info@lya.org< /a> or call 413-567-8665.
