Children, ages 5 to 10, will learn self-expression through simple, motivating art experiences that they can do on their own. The goal of this art program is to increase the self-confidence in youth so that they are motivated and empowered to creatively express themselves!
In these sessions, the children will learn a brief 10 minute history or background about the particular art theme being discussed, and will create a finished product that is based upon their own unique interpretations! The aim of these sessions is to encourage children to learn and understand the qualities they possess and how these qualities impact their everyday lives (e.g., emotions, intelligence, social skills, interests, etc.).
The cost for the 8 week program is $150 plus a non-refundable registration fee of $25. The payment includes two - 2 hour weekly sessions (a total of 4 hours each week) and all material fees.
The program begins the week of July 2, 2018, and the schedule of weekly sessions will be coordinated with parents' schedules, as vacations and holidays may affect this. Parents please be prepared to attend a parent meeting prior to the first week of the program. Depending on registration, it is anticipated that groups will meet according to the following hourly schedule:
Ages 5 to 7 from 8:30 to 10:30
Ages 8 to 10 from 10:30 to 12:30
Each group will contain no more than 8 children who will be assigned to one or two adults. These small groupings will allow for children to get more one-on-one attention and their questions answered in a timely manner.
Please contact us at (413) 426-7916 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in registering your child.
