16 ACRES LIONS CLUB RAISING FUNDS SELLING ''THE TASTE DINING AND ACTIVITY’’ BOOKS
The Sixteen Acres Lions Club is presently selling The Taste Dining and Activity Book, with savings of over $2,000, as a fundraiser for The Baystate Hospital Children’s Miracle Network, Open Pantry, and Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund. 100% of the profits from the sale of the books will be donated to these charities.
The Baystate Hospital Children’s Miracle Network will us their donation towards improving the area for children with cancer, where they can relax after infusions. They will also purchase presents for each child at the completion of chemotherapy. The Open Pantry is in desperate need of food for their kitchen, which serves up to 180 homeless and low-income people per day. Mass Lions Eye Research uses their donations to fund research in finding a cure for preventable eye diseases which can lead to blindness.
