ABOUT THIS EVENT
The 10th Annual Toasted Owl Gives a Hoot Halloween Fun Run includes a 5K Run and 2K Walk, open to both human and canine competitors, through downtown Northampton. Register by October 16 to receive a free race t-shirt. Costumes for two- and four-legged participants are welcome!
Don't forget to bring six cans of cat food on race day to get a free entry into the Toasted Owl $100.00 Gift Certificate Raffle. Stay after the race for complimentary grill, pumpkin pie, and hot apple cider (non-alcoholic) courtesy of Toasted Owl.
The event is RAIN OR SHINE. For everyone's safety, please refrain from using retractable leashes.

IMPORTANT DATES
July 15 – September 30: $30 Early Owl Registration with guaranteed race t-shirt
October 1 – October 16: $35 Regular Registration with guaranteed race t-shirt
October 17 – October 25: $35 Regular Registration (race t-shirt not included)
October 26: Pre-Race Bib Pickup/In-Person Registration at Toasted Owl from 12pm-4pm (race t-shirt not included with in-person registration)
October 27: Day of Bib Pickup/In-Person Registration at Toasted Owl from 9am-10:15am (race t-shirt not included with in-person registration)
To ensure a prompt race start, we will not be able to guarantee timing for runners registering after 10:15am on race day.
RACE LINEUP
The race will include chip timing (for 5K runners only) and the following staggered start times for the most accurate results:
1st Wave: Runners without dogs
2nd Wave: Runners with dogs
3rd Wave: Walkers with and without dogs
2K WALKERS WILL NOT BE TIMED.
RACE ROUTE
The race begins at 10:30am at the Toasted Owl Tavern on 21 Main Street in Northampton. The course follows a very flat route from Main Street to Market Street to North Street to Industrial Park to Day Avenue to Bridge Street to Main Street.
Parking is available in the Probate Court lot located behind the Toasted Owl Tavern or in the Strong Avenue lot. Street parking is free in Northampton on Sundays.

Prizes will be awarded to the top two male and female finishers in the following categories:

TEAMS
Running or walking as a team is a great way to enjoy the race with friends, family, and coworkers! Plus, the teams with the fastest time, most members, and the highest fundraising total will receive special prizes on race day.
Groups of three or more people are eligible for a registration discount of $5 per person. PLEASE NOTE: TO RECEIVE THIS DISCOUNT, ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE SAME TRANSACTION BY OCTOBER 25. Select “Add a Participant” after entering the first participant's information. The group discount will be applied automatically at checkout. Due to processing fees, the discount can only be applied at registration; we are unable to offer refunds.
