THE WESTFIELD FARMERS’ MARKET IS OPEN ON THURSDAYS on the lawn of the Episcopal Church of the Atonement at 36 Court Street, Westfield, MA, from noon to 6:00 pm weekly until Thursday, October 10th.  The Market operates rain or shine

 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Volunteers are needed to help set up and take down the Market, between 10:00 am - 12:00 pm or 5:30 - 6:45 pm any Thursday.  We need helpers to set up, take down, and put away tents, signs, tables and chairs, empty trash, and assist vendors.

 

The Healthy Incentive Program (HIP) for SNAP customers continues. Through a renewed gift from an anonymous donor, SNAP purchases will be matched $5 weekly.  Pignatare’s Farm and Trotwood Acres process HIP purchases and accept Elder Nutrition and WIC vouchers. Ray’s Farm also accepts vouchers. Credit Cards may be used at the Market tent to purchase coins for any purchase. 

 

Late summer is a great time to enjoy the bounty of fresh vegetables and fruits!  Here’s what’s at the Market September 12:

 

Special Events:  4:00 - Dan Pulley of L'il Rows Farm will discuss the health benefits of the microgreens and the various mushrooms he sells.

 

Part-Time Vendors: West Parish Orchards with apples and peaches, Fresh Flour Bakery with bread and Sturbridge Fudge.

 

Non-Profit Organizations:  Ascentria Health Care Alliance will have nutrition information and 

Commonwealth Care Alliance with health insurance information for seniors.

 

Music at the Market sponsored by the Westfield Cultural Council.  Why not enjoy some great LOCAL musicians under the big shade tree!? 

  • 12 - 2:00 - The Russellers with vocals, blues, country and folk
  • 2 - 4:00 -  Eva Cappelli with blues
  • 4 - 6:00 -  Harry Rock with 60’s and 70’s folk and rock
